Job Introduction

Required to support our Staffordshire Children's Advice and Support Team and Emergency Duty Team based in Stone.

You will be predominantly office based although some home working is arranged on a rota basis dependent on the demands of the service.

 

Main Responsibilities

You will undertake the admin processes as part of the Information Sharing Log.

This involves carrying out the lateral checks for individual agencies on behalf of the County Council in the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) . 

You'll also:

  • Support all of the business support requirements for the Staffordshire Children's Advice and Support Service, the Emergency Duty Service and the wider children’s service.
  • Servicing meetings: coordinating the circulation of agendas and relevant papers; scheduling and diary management; attendance at meetings; and taking and distributing appropriate notes. 
  • Completing a range of administrative and customer care tasks ensuring compliance with business processes and Service Level Agreements
  • Undertake a range of financial transactions including cash handling, holding/managing Purchase card transactions, placing orders for services/equipment, goods receipting on in accordance with Financial Regulations through the County Council’s Finance and Procurement systems.
  • make full use of the Department’s IT Facilities including accurately maintaining, monitoring and analysing data.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have:

  • experience of using Microsoft Office or equivalent software
  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to interpret, format and accurately present information
  • good time management and organisational skills with an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and on own initiative.

The post is based within the Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub based in Stone and as such will be subject to the MASH police vetting process
